In 2013, GSP-Project Ltd signed the contract for replacement pumps in Apatityvodokanal OJSC. In November 2013, five Sulzer pumps XFP300J were provided for installation in Apatity wastewater treatment plant №3.
The pumps were launched to operating mode in 2014. The equipment provides sewage effluent supply in automatic flow of ultraviolet disinfection station. Modern Sulzer pumps showed themselves in the best light. Due to their installation continuous water supply to disinfection modules was provided. Sulzer’s high efficiency patented construction of pump’s hydraulic part and new range of energy efficiency motors let save pumping station flow using lower number of pumps and using step-by-step algorithm of regulation water level in contact tank. The pumps’ installation guarantied industrial and ecological safety for Apatity wastewater treatment plant owing to use of hydraulics protect-from-blockage technology, intellectual pump and motor monitoring system and because of possibility to control these processes in emergency and normal mode. Besides evident advantages, such as technological solutions, Sulzer pumps exploitation led to reduction of life-cycle costs.
